Wiring from on the DC side of your grow light requires different wire than the AC side.

It’s very important to make sure the wires you use aren’t too thin, or you’ll burn your house down.
Pick a wire that’s copper (not copper coated aluminum) and thick enough to carry the electricity without overheating. Calculate your TOTAL volts and amps that will go through that wire and pick the correct gauge accordingly.
See the chart below:

DC wire comes in Solid Core and Stranded, the stranded being flexible and solid being stiff. Most led chips and board with push connectors require solid core, but it’s a good idea to connect that to a stranded wire if extending the cables off your light so the wires are flexible.
You can find wire at your local hardware store, amazon etc. Some common cables you’ll find are:
- Speaker wire (flexible)
- Thermostat wire (solid core)
Amazon is awesome, just search for example: 14awg speaker wire and make sure it’s copper.
